Kathleen Parker’s Days on Parker Spitzer May Be Numbered

CNN is considering replacing Kathleen Parker on Parker Spitzer, according to The Wall Street Journal. The network is struggling to increase its rapidly declining evening audience, and Parker Spitzer hasn’t been able to significantly build its audience since it debuted three months ago. CNN currently trails Fox News and MSNBC in ratings throughout the evening. At an investor conference last week, Phil Kent, chief executive of CNN parent Turner Broadcasting, said: “We still think that form of show is the right idea for [CNN], but the execution has not been what we have been happy with up to date. It’s a work in progress. We’re trying to make that show better.” Also, Parker allegedly can’t stand the other guy.
