Republican senator (and serial liar) Mark Kirk of Illinois blows our mind:
“The consensus behind the climate change bill collapsed and then further deteriorated with the personal and political collapse of Vice President [Al] Gore,” Kirk said in a brief interview last week.
Is he saying that Al Gore’s separating from his wife and being accused of lewd acts by a hotel masseuse killed the cap-and-trade bill last year? The Al Gore who hasn’t been in the Senate in nearly twenty years? Or is there another Al Gore? There must be another Al Gore.
