Anderson Cooper Went to Egypt, Got Punched in the Head

Now we’ve really had it with the pro-Mubarak supporters. First they ride into Tahrir Square on horses and camels, disrupting a peaceful protest with violence in their hearts and a bad attitude. Then they come after an American icon. A mob of supporters attacked a CNN production crew in Cairo as they were trying to cover the protests, punching Anderson Cooper ten times in the head. Luckily no one was seriously injured. And Anderson, who continues to report on the unrest in the streets from his rooftop vantage point, probably reminded everybody of his Katrina and Haiti coverage and glossed over the fact that he didn’t get to Egypt until Saturday. But this isn’t the way for Mubarak’s supporters to convince the world they’re on the right side of history.
