On Thurdsay, Alex Figueroa walked into Crescent Chemists pharmacy in Astoria, handed Guimmia Villa a bouquet of flowers—and shot her in the face. She died on the way to Mt. Sinai Hospital as a result of her wounds. Villa was Figueroa’s estranged wife and the mother of two children. Police spent hours searching for Figueroa, and he was later found dead at his Ravenwood House apartment. He left behind a several page confession.
