Online publishing pioneer Salon.com was in talks with Michael Wolff’s aggregation site Newser.com, but the deal has fallen apart after the companies couldn’t agree on a price, the Times reports. The Huffington Post’s $315 million sale to AOL made Salon.com directors worried that they were settling for too little money — the Times doesn’t say how much that was. [NYT]
