60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager will be named chairman of CBS News, according to the Times. He’ll take over for Sean McManus, who had been serving as president of CBS News and Sports and will now go back to sports full time. Bloomberg News’ television boss David Rhodes has come over to assist Fager. The new team’s biggest upcoming task? Deciding whether to renew anchor Katie Couric’s contract. [NYT]
