Mikael and Niklas Hed, the Finnish cousins who run Rovio Mobile along with Peter Vesterbacka (his business card says “Mighty Eagle”), were on the brink of bankruptcy when their company came up with the idea of Angry Birds. Apparently all you need to get $42 million from big-name venture capitalists is to have the motivation to change your fortune, get a TV deal, and invent a game that triggers people’s deep-seated thirst for pig vengeance.
