According to the “political operatives, strategists, campaign consultants, and lobbyists in both parties” surveyed by the National Journal, Sarah Palin is overwhelmingly the potential GOP presidential candidate whose stock fell the most over the past few months. As for whose prospects rose the most, that would be Mitch Daniels, the mild-mannered, budget-minded, Brooks-approved Indiana governor who has caught flak from within his party for calling for a “truce” on the culture wars until the economy is back on track.
