45 Injured in PATH Train Accident

A commuter train crashed into a station platform in Hoboken, New Jersey, injuring at least 45 people. The PATH train hit the platform at the Hoboken station at around 9 o’clock this morning. Fourteen people were taken to the hospital, most with minor injuries. The accident was caused, said Port Authority spokesman John Kelly, because the train conductor “mistakenly went too far at the end of the Hoboken line and bumped into a wall.” And yes, the conductor will receive a drug test. It’s “standard protocol.”
