Dominique Strauss-Kahn Indicted on Seven Counts [Updated: And Out of Jail]

A New York grand jury indicted former IMF president Dominique Strauss-Kahn on seven counts today, including two counts of criminal sexual acts in the first degree, and one count each of attempted rape, sex abuse in the first degree, sexual abuse in the third degree, forcible touching, and unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, according to ABC News. The grand jury heard testimony yesterday from the hotel maid he’s accused of attacking. [ABC Radio, ABC News]

Update: Strauss-Kahn, after being stuck in Rikers all week, is out of prison on a $1 million bail, with a bond of $5 million. He’ll be under house arrest at his wife’s apartment, where he’ll have an armed guard 24 hours a day and be monitored electronically. He also has to surrender his travel documents. If he manages to flee after all that, well, that would be something. [Deborah Feyrick/Twitter, Jon Swaine/Twitter, AFP]
