Harold Camping Had a Stroke

The world’s leading source of spurious doomsday predictions, 89-year-old Harold Camping, was admitted to the hospital on Thursday after suffering a stroke. But Camping’s wife says he’s “doing very well” and the stroke wasn’t serious. That’s good news not only for Camping but for Bono, whose one-liner at the Tonys last night (“It has been confirmed by the Reverend Harold Camping that Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark will open next Tuesday”) would have been a lot more distasteful if Camping had, you know, died. And it’s also good news for those of us who can’t wait to hear what kind of outlandish excuse Camping will give for the non-apocalypse on October 21.
