Just a week ago, Michele Bachmann told Good Morning America, “I like Sarah Palin a lot, we’re friends.” But today, in a radio interview, Bachmann’s new campaign manager, Ed Rollins, had some decidedly unfriendly things to say about Bachmann’s potential rival for the female and tea-party vote in the GOP presidential primaries. “Sarah has not been serious over the last couple of years,” Rollins said. “She got the vice-presidential thing handed to her, she didn’t go to work in the sense of trying to gain more substance, she gave up her governorship.” All of these things are undeniably true, but also fairly scathing. As the saying goes, “Politics ain’t beanbag,” although we’re not exactly sure what beanbag is either.
