Which political entities have gained the most from the increasingly nerve-racking standoff over the debt ceiling? None of them! President Obama and congressional Democrats both received negative approval ratings for their handling of the issue so far, according to CBS News, but nobody fared as poorly as congressional Republicans, who received approval from only 21 percent of Americans and disapproval from 71 percent.
