Silent Barn — the Queens music venue, DIY stronghold, and New York–approved arcade — was ransacked on Monday, according to a Facebook note by the space’s owners. $15,000 worth of audio equipment, various art projects, and personal belongings were taken, and significant damage was done. “Everything [was] strewn about in a sea of debris,” the owners said. The future of the spot’s sweaty, intimate shows is unclear: “We’re still reeling with what this means for us.” [Facebook via Pitchfork]
