Rockefeller Imposter Facing Murder Charges

Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, the German man who posed for a period as Clark Rockefeller, a made-up member of the Rockefeller family, is heading to California this week to face murder charges in connection with the 1985 killing of his San Marino landlord, Jonathan Sohus. After Sohus and his wife disappeared, Gerhartsreiter reportedly told Sohus’s mother that the couple went to work for “a European aircraft company that his family owned,” but the landlord’s remains were discovered in 1994 in the Sohus’ backyard, where Gerhartsreiter had rented a guest house in the eighties under the fake name. Off the map for years, Gerhartsreiter resurfaced in 2008 in connection to the kidnapping of his 7-year-old daughter in Boston, for which he’s now currently serving a five-year jail sentence. In any case, he seems to be going for the glasses defense.
