The New York Times media desk wunderkind first grabbed the attention of the paper as a college kid, thanks to his obsessive blog, TVNewser. This summer, his interest in television news has been more than just professional. He had a very public, if brief, dalliance with CNBC’s Nicole Lapin: They were featured prominently in the Observer’s media power couples list, but by the time the paper rolled out its power bachelor list, Stelter was available for inclusion on that one as well. Apparently, he decided to capitalize on the opportunity the Observer tossed his way at the mixer for the members of its bachelor and bachelorette lists. According to “Page Six”, Stelter was seen “getting cozy” with Jamie Shupak, Observer bachelorette and NY1’s traffic reporter.
We’re predicting a television weather reporter next. After all, he volunteered to cover the hurricane this weekend. Al Roker surely makes an ideal wing man.
