Brian Williams’s Daughter Has Arrived, Politely

In today’s New York Post, aspiring actress Allison Williams gets her first major profile, but spends the whole interview ducking softballs: The 23-year-old daughter of NBC News anchor (and hip dad) Brian Williams doesn’t drink, refuses to name a present-day celebrity crush, and lives in midtown. Raised in Connecticut, she did improv at Yale, and now that she’s graduated, her parents are allowing her to pursue acting. She’ll star in Lena Dunham and Judd Apatow’s upcoming HBO comedy series Girls, but Allison says it’s because of her YouTube prowess, not her pedigree or potential “It” girl energy. Paz de la Huerta she’s not, and never was; her fourth grade to-do list reads: “Do my homework (the best it can be),” “Have a little snack (not big though),” and “Shower (if needed).” Don’t let this town ruin you, darling.
