For many people, the Puck Building in Soho is an icon. Built in the late nineteenth century, it’s the symbol of a neighborhood. It’s the place where Grace Adler and Karen Walker wiled away their hours on Will & Grace. It’s the edifice that gave the great bar across the street, Puck Fair, its name. And now, for six people (or families!), it will be a home. New York Observer owner and real estate scion Jared Kushner is converting the top two floors of the Lafayette Street gem into residential spaces, which will have expansive views. He’s also building a small rooftop addition (pending Landmarks Commission approval) that will grant four of the new apartments expansive private terraces. The apartments, which range from 5,000 to 8,500 square feet, are expected to summon from $15 to $50 million. Just think! That’s all it would cost you to live in an iconic New York legend. And on the busiest, noisiest, and most construction-clogged intersection of Houston Street, no less!
