If there’s anyone who’d consider it a badge of moral honor to be part of the Occupy Wall Street–sloganized 99 percent, it’s Michael Moore. So it’s unsurprising that he initially hesitated to admit that his financial standing qualifies him as part of the wealthiest one percent — a hesitation that drew him a lot of criticism in the last week.
But in a new post on his blog, Moore admits that he is, in fact, quite wealthy. While he doesn’t reveal details of his finances, the post is titled “Life Among the 1%.” It pads the admission with a lesson in financial morality, and outlines exactly how he’s managed to get rich without yielding to any of capitalism’s evils.
Moore writes:
If the Weinsteins know what’s good for this country, they’ll pay Moore the $3 mil they owe him.
