Republicans Love Herman Cain, But Not in That Way

I’ve been saying that Herman Cain’s support in the polls does not reflect a desire to nominate him for president but simply a way of sticking a finger in the eye of President Obama and his (imagined) use of the race card. If you want some really strong evidence, check out this report from a focus group of Ohio Republicans:

Do you think this person could be president of the United States?” he asked. “Is anybody willing to raise your hand and say, ‘I would be comfortable if he became the next president of the United States?’ ”

This is from a group that loves Cain. They just don’t love him in a president kind of way.
