Google Might Enter Cable TV Business

The ever-growing Google empire might mount an invasion on cable television, reports The Wall Street Journal. Though no final decision has been made, the company is in talks with Walt Disney, Time Warner, and Discovery, hoping to build on a high-speed Internet venture in Kansas City. Google is also rumored to have brought on high-powered TV exec Jeremy Stern to lead the campaign. Going into original content isn’t necessarily a new jump for the Internet giant. They recently dropped $100 million on producing new video on dozens of YouTube channels.

Until we hear confirmation, we’ll be taking advantage of Google’s equally exciting new feature: “do a barrel roll.”
