The New York Post reports giddily that two men who have attended the Occupy Wall Street protests, including one member of the finance committee, have also stayed in a fancy hotel. A guy named Brad Spitzer, the tabloid reveals, “leads a double life as a businessman,” working for Deloitte and staying at the W Hotel downtown while in the city on business. He stopped by the protests, which he supports, but admitted, “Tents are not for me.” Alex Dutro, meanwhile, who helps control the protest’s donations, spent $500 of his own money for a room in the W so he could get a good night’s sleep ahead of last week’s Day of Action. “Not everybody there is dirt poor,” he told the paper. “It is an expensive hotel. Whatever.” Room service sells an $18 pastrami sandwich, the Post reports. Mmm, pastrami.
