Occupy demonstrations around the country have cost eighteen cities a combined $13 million and counting, which was spent almost entirely on police overtime. As of November 15, $7 million had been spent in New York City alone. Other top spenders include Oakland ($2.4 million) and Portland ($785,000), while Dallas reported no extra costs at all. Lawsuits will be the cherry on top.
