where is the love going

Reggie Love and Barack Obama Have Flown 880,780 Miles Together

US President Barack Obama listens to his personal assistant Reggie Love as he greets family members of victims aboard United flight 93 on September 11, 2011 after he laid a wreath at the Wall of Names at the newly dedicated Flight 93 memorial on the site where the plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The president and his “body man,” according to an estimate by ABC News, have traveled a cumulative distance together that would take them around the world more than 30 times. And that’s just by air. The duo is on something of a victory lap now, as Reggie Love prepares to depart the White House for the Wharton School of Business at the end of the year, after hundreds of eighteen-hour days carrying Obama’s supply bag and handing him dental floss (and playing basketball). Love, usually the strong, silent type, is getting a mini-press tour to mark the end of his service, and he’s shining a light on the uglier parts of the pair’s well-documented bromance. You won’t believe what he has to say about the president’s air-conditioning habits:

When two people spend that much time together, they’re bound to get on each other’s nerves. So, what does Obama do that makes Love’s skin crawl?

The thing that used to kill me is that the guy loves to ride around with the AC off in the summertime,” Love said. “And I get hot. I start sweating. And I’m like, it’s 80 degrees in this car. I’m going to pass out.”

He’ll be busy with business school for the next little while, but when the time comes, it sounds like Love has a hell of a tell-all in him.
