Latest Ad by Colbert Super-PAC Promises Orgy of Pure Distortion

Today’s dispatch from Stephen Colbert’s (now Jon Stewart’s) super-PAC, Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow, aims to ridicule negative campaign ads paid for by super-PACs supporting other candidates. Titled Double Negative, the narrator of the one-minute spot has a rugged, baritone voice that sounds a lot like mustachioed actor Sam Elliott. It just might be. After decrying the deluge of negative ads on television, the ad points to Newt Gingrich’s short-lived promise to run a positive campaign, which was eventually swallowed by the King of Bain advertisement bashing Mitt Romney. But if you donate to Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow, it will destroy both Romney’s and Gingrich’s super-PACs with “an orgy of pure distortion leaving nothing behind.” Problem solved!
