The office will be a “peace mission,” from which the terrorist group will negotiate with Afghan and Western diplomats. Last year, the U.S. let a more or less random dude into high-level negotiations, and handed him a bunch of money to boot, under the mistaken impression that he was a representative of the Taliban. But surely this office will have swipe cards or something.
