Mark Wahlberg, still trying to quell an outcry over his suggestion that 9/11 would have never happened if he and his pectoral muscles were onboard one of the hijacked planes, made yet another apology on WPLJ’s Scott & Todd show this morning, and it was mostly very nice:

>

All I ever wanted to do was, if i could have, prevent that from happening, like any American. You know, It was such a bad thing to all of a sudden be in that position, you know, but I could certainly understand because I was a little, you know, out of line with my wording and I didn’t’ take into consideration how other people would respond to it or be affected by it.”

Aw, thanks Mark. It’s really big of you to take full respons — oh, he’s not done.

I also had a journalist who was asking all the questions. And I’m trying to promote a movie, and he’s asking me, you know, about sex, and this and that, and I’m like, ‘Dude, I got a wife and four kids and this is not appropriate.’ And, you know, and it wasn’t a Q&A, it wasn’t like all of a sudden I just decided that I was going to get on this, you know, this soap box and start talking about my opinion on 9/11, you know? I was there to talk about the movie.”
