Fifty-three-year-old Evelyn Tirado has been arrested for allegedly punching a 12-year-old female student, repeatedly, after an argument last week at Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health and Science Charter School in Morrisania. “She wouldn’t stop hitting me,” the student told police of her teacher. “I’m afraid of her.” Tirado’s tirade apparently started after the young girl left school early to make a doctor’s appointment. Tirado has been charged with assault.
