Rodney, reportedly a fugitive leader in Folk Nation who’s tied to a series of robberies and shootings, had been hiding out in his girlfriend’s basement in Brooklyn, the Daily News writes. Although the gang’s name deceivingly sounds like a music festival, it’s actually a violent Chicago-based alliance of gangs that locally has wreaked havoc at the Ebbets Field Houses in Flatbush with “shootings and mayhem.” Seven other gang members were charged in January for racketeering, murder, and robbery, among other crimes. Rodney himself faces racketeering charges for ordering gang members to kill rivals and conspiring to rob jewelry stores in Manhattan, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
