Proof that Ann Romney is, unlike her husband, a normal human being who likes to laugh: She thought Robert De Niro’s first lady joke was funny. At an Obama reelection fund-raiser on Monday, De Niro introduced Michelle Obama with a pretty harmless joke:

>

Callista Gingrich. Karen Santorum. Ann Romney. Now do you really think our country is ready for a white first lady?” De Niro asked to cheers from the crowd. “Too soon, right?”

Michelle Obama’s spokesman said the joke was inappropriate and Newt Gingrich called it “utterly and totally unacceptable.” But Ann Romney laughed!
