Every person has a breaking point. Apparently Rupert Murdoch reached his on Thursday. In the wake of yet another wave of accusations of News Corp. wrongdoing, this time for allegedly promoting piracy attacks against TV rivals (more lucrative markets for the media empire, notes Reuters), Murdoch apparently will not stand by and get pilloried by competitors and enemies. News Corp. has denied the most recent allegations in the expansive scandal, but the 81-year-old chairman and CEO had more to say on Twitter, beginning with, “Seems every competitor and enemy piling on with lies and libels. So bad, easy to hit back hard, which preparing.” We suspect that this revenge won’t involve phone-hacking, but who knows.
We apologize, and will immediately start a thorough review of our exhibit policies and procedures so that this does not happen again.
