By decree of the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, smoking cigarettes is now banned in all six state parks that reside within the city limits, such as East River State Park in Williamsburg. But picnicking hipsters won’t have to trek too far to spark a Parliament (or a Lucky Strike, or an American Spirit, or whatever brand is “in” with the hipsters now, we have no idea) this summer: The OPRHP says that smoking on the sidewalk along Kent Avenue is still kosher.
