New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called Greek yogurt the state’s “newest and hottest export,” while its boom in popularity was recently referred to as a “‘once every two or three generations’ situation,” credited with single-handedly strengthening the economy upstate (and it’s “guilt-free”!). Now it’s also everywhere, after a tractor trailer carrying eighteen tons of Chobani tipped over in Chenango, New York, last night, spilling yogurt “on the shoulder and down the hillside.” None of this is a metaphor.
