Police arrested 27-year-old New Jersey Bloods gangster John Manning on Monday when he showed up to Mayor Bloomberg’s outdoor press conference looking for a fight with the mayor himself. Not a verbal sparring match but a real, actual, physical altercation. “I want to take on the mayor in a fight,” Manning told cops near the event on Broadway, “man versus man, and knock him out.” Police asked Manning to leave but he persisted, saying, “I’ll wait as long as it takes.” Manning left in handcuffs and faces charges of trespassing and obstruction of government administration. Bold move by Manning, but for the sake of perspective, the fight was slightly more probable than Pacquiao versus Mayweather.
