Dirtbag magazine turned world-dominating media empire Vice is graduating from CNN and MTV to premium cable with a forthcoming weekly newsmagazine show on HBO to be executive produced by fellow free spirit Bill Maher, with Fareed Zakaria along for the ride as a consultant. Teased topics so far include “Taliban child suicide bombers, New York’s underground voodoo heroin clinics, and Satanic dentists in the Pacific Northwest.” Sounds like a bit of a buzzkill, but the world can be way harsh.
