The disgraced former NYPD commissioner, who compares his jail sentence to “dying with your eyes open,” is done with his signature mustache. “The first day I took it off, my daughters jumped on the bed, saw my face and jumped back off,” he explains to the Daily News today. “Now they don’t want me to grow it back.” Just let that fresh start metaphor resonate.
