The hacker that stole 6.5 million LinkedIn passwords on Wednesday is believed to have also taken 1.5 million passwords from online dating service eHarmony, the Los Angeles Times reports. No doubt the leak is problematic for the self-proclaimed “#1 Most Trusted Online Dating Site,” but regarding impact, a compromised dating service handle feels potentially less damaging than a stained professional profile on LinkedIn. Then again, what of the hopeless romantic who suddenly tells the object of his budding desire that he hates dogs? A guy can’t come back from that.
