Everyone with a Facebook profile also has a corresponding @Facebook.com e-mail address whether they know it or not. Since most people don’t use the built-in service, the company has given it a little push lately, replacing people’s listed addresses — probably Gmail or a work account, if you’re a functional human being — with the official Facebook variation without asking. A spokesperson told Forbes that the social network is “rolling out a new setting that gives people the choice to decide which addresses they want to show on their timelines,” but they’ve made the choice for you to start, and conveniently opted not to tell anyone. Here’s how to switch it back, for convenience, but also just to spite them.
