The South Street Seaport Was Briefly on Fire Today

A three-alarm fire began billowing smoke at the South Street Seaport around 4 p.m. today, though it was quickly brought under control by FDNY fireboats. The blaze was linked to a soda vending machine, reports WNYC. There were no injuries, but there are some scary photographs (see above.)
