‘Gangster’ Wanted in Chinatown Murders Caught on Flight Leaving for Hong Kong

Things got very cinematic at JFK Airport yesterday, where a man wanted for questioning in a double-murder was pulled from a plane just before it departed for Hong Kong. The Post describes the guy, who was already in his seat, as a “hard-core gang member” with “tattoos on his hands and fingers.” NBC New York identifies him as Songfei Li, a “person of interest” in the killing of two women; one was 70 years old, found shot in the head at a Chinatown building after firefighters put out a fire there last month. Although he’s not yet been charged, Li is in custody, and to top it all off, also allegedly threatened a cab driver with a gun. There is probably a lot more to this story, but we are afraid to find out.
