Our first thought when we read that tourists on Sunday were taking photos of the blood stain left over from the police shooting of a knife-wielding man in Times Square the day before was, “Ugh, tourists, you sick freaks.” But you know what? It’s really weird that nobody cleaned up the blood stain. And a conspicuous uncleaned blood stain from a fatal crime scene in the heart of New York is way more remarkable and memorable than 99 percent of vacation photos.
