NYPD officers in Brooklyn were attempting to make a drug bust today when they happened upon some potentially threatening dogs, and one detective opted to fire a round. The bullet ricocheted and hit a guy in the leg instead, who, NY1 reports, was not even a suspect. Sources claim one of the three people the police were after released two pit bulls at the officers, but witnesses say the dogs, which are now with animal control, were not only tied up, but are pretty friendly. “They’re little pit bulls,” a neighbor explained. “One of them is pregnant, so you know that one is going to be snappy but other than that, you would really have to pick with them dogs for them to bite you.” Either way, bad aim.
