If you laughed, even a little bit, at the video on Monday of two men in Times Square whacking each other with crutches and a police barricade (since turned into a light-saber duel on YouTube), please prepare to feel guilty: The homeless man involved has a new sign. “Need your help please,” it reads, “because my crutches got ran over so I need fare for bus and subway to see the doctor for pain and another crutch.” He took $5 and a mocha from a reporter but wanted more to tell the whole story, the Times reports. “YouTube is making thousands of dollars over the incident and I ain’t making a dime,” he said. “Who’s going to protect me? I’m a nobody.” We are all monsters.
