Though Jason Kidd smelled of alcohol, according to police, and refused a Breathalyzer test after crashing into a telephone pole on his way home from a club in the Hamptons over the summer, the new Knick plans to fight a misdemeanor DWI charge, his attorney said at a hearing today. The next court date is set for November 7, a week into the NBA season.
