After two thrilling weeks on the run from its home at John Bowne High School in Kew Gardens Hills, the elusive bird was finally corralled this past weekend, DNAinfo reports. The peacock even managed to escape NYPD Emergency Service Unit cops during its terrific run. The bird’s daring dash for freedom may be over, but a new generation of caged peacocks has been inspired, their travels to be documented by humans on Twitter living vicariously through them.
