The internal affairs division of the NYPD is looking into allegations of a home invasion by 34-year-old officer Rishi Gobin, who claimed he was stabbed in the side by an intruder at his Queens home. Surveillance footage doesn’t show anyone entering or leaving Gobin’s house, the Times reports, with a source calling the story “problematic.” Gobin was reportedly “upset over marital problems,” but there’s no telling yet if that led to the extreme, life-and-career-risking measures. “It’s kind of bizarre,” said the source, underselling things. “We’re still sorting it out.”
We apologize, and will immediately start a thorough review of our exhibit policies and procedures so that this does not happen again.
