“I’m a single mother who was running a business, I paid my taxes and I’m sorry for what I did,” said former Queens spa owner Barbara Nieto, who was sentenced to two years in jail on Thursday. She would have had a fine argument if she hadn’t illegally posed as a plastic surgeon and performed liposuctions and butt injections on her clients, causing one victim to suffer a life-threatening septic infection.
