Bronx Factories Making ‘Hot Sauce’ and ‘Cristal’ Were Misleading

Those were just two brands of heroin being processed at a pair of Bronx buildings, each producing about three kilos — or $1.5 million — a week. Eleven uniformed assembly-line workers were arrested in a recent bust, which, in addition to “Hot Sauce” and “Cristal,” turned up creatively stamped drugs like Lady Blue, Redd Fox, and Cartier, all of which were probably the same.
