After appearing on conspiracy theory-friendly FOX News, former General Electric CEO and newly minted unemployment rate truther Jack Welch continued along the cable news circuit last night. Following a hostile exchange with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews (“Chris, don’t lose it now”), Welch spoke to CNN’s Anderson Cooper about his tweeted accusation that the Obama administration tampered with Friday’s heartening jobs report. “I should have put a question mark on the end of that, let’s face it,” Welch said. However, he added, “I’m not backing away, I’m not backing away from anything.” But only because Twitter doesn’t have an edit function.
