Mitt Romney Concedes With Class

Mitt Romney supposedly didn’t write a concession speech for tonight. Whether that was actually true or not, it did take Romney a while to appear on stage at his Election Night headquarters in Boston and concede the race — his last, for sure — to President Obama. But what he delivered, over an hour and a half after the networks called the race for Obama, was an address as brief (at just under five minutes) as it was gracious. Romney thanked all of his supporters, congratulated Obama and his family, and called for his backers to “earnestly pray” for Obama’s success. He showed no bitterness, offered no excuses, and made no complaints.
